Director of Finance
We are partnering with a private equity backed, multi-site facilities service organization looking to add a Director of Finance who will oversee 2 entities. The Director will lead the financial and administrative management of the growing business. This individual will own the entire Accounting and Finance function reporting to a Group Controller.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee all financial functions, including accounting, reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, treasury, insurance, payroll, audit, tax, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and maintain weekly and monthly financial reports, analyzing trends against prior years and budgets while conducting periodic reforecasting.
- Provide key financial insights and operational KPIs for leadership, preparing impactful presentations for monthly board meetings.
- Manage relationships with external financial partners, including advisors, benefits providers, and tax consultants.
- Optimize Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes to enhance cash flow and operational efficiency.
- Conduct profitability analyses to evaluate margins by job, customer, and sales channel, supporting data-driven strategic decisions.
- Assist in annual strategic planning and budgeting to align financial objectives with business growth.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in finance or accounting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or public accounting experience preferred but not required.
- Experience in the construction industry, with expertise in Percentage of Completion (POC) and Work in Progress (WIP) accounting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP compliance and financial reporting standards.
- Proven ability in financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Advanced Excel skills required.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial data clearly and effectively.
