Location: Ottumwa, IA – open to relocation
Work Environment: Hybrid (In-person reporting required)

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Physician Services Market Director to oversee the operational management of assigned provider practices and clinics. This role involves strategic collaboration with the VP of Operations and facility leadership to implement initiatives aimed at growth and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership capabilities and a proven track record in physician practice management.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership: Oversee all aspects of clinic operations, ensuring efficiency, financial performance, and sustained growth.
  • Team Development: Lead and mentor Clinic Administrators and Managers, fostering a culture of high performance, professional growth, and accountability.
  • Strategic Growth: Collaborate on initiatives to expand patient volume, optimize revenue cycles, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Financial Oversight: Develop and manage budgets, conduct financial analyses, and ensure accurate revenue capture and reporting.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with providers to review financial performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive strategic decision-making.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all clinic operations adhere to healthcare regulations, industry best practices, and business office protocols.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and report key performance metrics, aligning clinic operations with financial and strategic goals.
  • Business Expansion: Lead initiatives to attract new patients, manage practice start-ups, and implement market plans to drive revenue growth.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred for larger markets. Equivalent experience, education, and training will be considered.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years in physician practice management or a similar healthcare leadership role.
  • Certifications: CMPE or FACMPE preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in financial reporting and data management.
    • Strong analytical and business mathematical skills.
    • Effective problem-solving and strategic decision-making abilities.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex information.

Additional Requirements:

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and resources efficiently.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance standards, including HIPAA.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
