We are partnering with a rapidly growing, multi-site specialty dental healthcare provider backed by a major Private Equity group. Headquartered on the West Coast, this organization is scaling quickly through both organic growth and acquisition, and is seeking a dynamic SVP of Human Resources to build and lead a high-impact HR function from the ground up.
This is a newly created role on the executive team, ideal for a strategic HR leader who is also hands-on, agile, and ready to shape culture, define structure, and deliver scalable people solutions in a complex, distributed, and high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership

Develop and implement a long-term HR roadmap aligned with the company’s growth and operational objectives

Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO, COO, and executive team, contributing to overall business strategy through a people-first lens
Culture & Change Management

Champion a unified company culture across all sites, instilling values and behaviors that reflect our mission and vision

Lead change management initiatives, acting as a visible and effective culture ambassador during periods of transition
M&A Integration

Oversee the HR workstream for acquisitions, including organization design, policy alignment, cultural integration, and talent evaluation

Ensure smooth, scalable integration of acquired entities across people operations and systems
Talent Strategy & Organizational Development

Lead comprehensive strategies for talent acquisition, employee development, engagement, and retention

Foster a high-performance, people-centric culture that enables sustainable growth and operational scale
People Operations

Oversee all aspects of HR operations, including compensation, benefits, compliance, performance management, employee relations, and training

Standardize and implement HR best practices across a multi-location footprint
Field Support & Multi-State Compliance

Partner with field and clinic leadership to deliver tailored HR support across California, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Nevada, and Arizona

Ensure compliance with complex and evolving state-specific labor laws, particularly on the West Coast
Team Leadership

Lead, mentor, and grow a geographically distributed HR team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and business alignment

Empower HR leaders to deliver both strategic guidance and operational support at the regional and local levels
Ideal Candidate Profile

10+ years of progressive HR leadership, including executive-level experience (VP/SVP) in a high-growth, dynamic environment

Background in a Private Equity-backed or performance-driven organization is highly preferred

Experience supporting distributed, multi-site workforces, especially in healthcare, dental, or clinical settings

Proven ability to scale HR infrastructure and lead organizational transformation in growing companies

Deep understanding of multi-state employment regulations, with strong expertise in California and West Coast labor laws

Demonstrated success managing complex M&A integrations from a people and culture perspective
-
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is a strong plus
