Manager, Finance Operations
This opportunity is with a private equity-backed, multi-site organization seeking a Finance Manager to join its operational finance team. The role has been created in response to the company’s continued growth and active acquisition strategy, with a focus on strengthening financial operations and scalability across multiple locations and business units.
You will perform financial analysis to support operations and financial objectives; supports annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting production in the Solver forecasting system; analyze actuals vs. budget variances for operations, physician practices, and /or facilities (e.g. hospital and ASCs) segments; provide analysis and commentary in support of financial reporting packages for internal and external third parties.
Work environment: Can work 100% remote but will need to travel once a quarter.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Act as a strategic and hands-on business partner, supporting Finance Leadership and operational leaders.
- Utilize financial reporting and forecasting tools to aid in the development of annual budgets and quarterly financial forecasts for multiple business entities and departments.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reporting packages for the Board of Directors, department, and operational leaders.
- Lead or support monthly meetings with various operational and functional leaders to review and discuss financial performance.
- Develop financial models and pro forma analyses to facilitate informed decision-making, such as analyzing the financial impact of new business acquisitions, services, or processes.
- Build strong working relationships with business partners across all levels of the organization.
- Communicate in a responsive and professional manner with all employees and third parties, ensuring regular, consistent communication for effective decision-making.
- Demonstrate unwavering integrity, inspiring trust and respect throughout the organization, while prioritizing honesty, transparency, and ethical behavior while maintaining confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in corporate finance or operational finance.
- Experience within healthcare services is a plus.
- Strong understanding of Profit & loss statements, Cash flow statements, Balance sheets, Intercompany financial reporting
- Knowledge of Budgeting and forecasting, Financial modeling, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
- Resourceful and adaptable, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive clarity and alignment.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial forecasting tools
- Self-starter with the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
