Job Description

Vice President, Marketing Strategy & Transformation

Remote (Eastern, Central or Mountain Time Preferred)

The Opportunity

Our client is a rapidly growing, private equity-backed consumer marketplace that is transforming how customers discover, book and experience travel. As the business enters its next phase of growth, the company is investing heavily in building a world-class marketing organization focused on increasing direct customer engagement, accelerating digital growth and leveraging technology to create a best-in-class customer experience.

Reporting directly to the EVP of Revenue & Marketing, this newly created leadership role will serve as the strategic partner responsible for building the operating engine behind the company's marketing function. You'll work alongside senior leaders across Revenue, Technology, Product, Finance and Operations to turn ambitious growth initiatives into measurable business outcomes.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex business problems, building structure in fast-moving environments and leading transformational initiatives from concept through execution.

What You'll Do

  • Build and manage the strategic marketing roadmap aligned with company growth priorities
  • Lead high-impact, cross-functional initiatives across digital marketing, customer acquisition, CRM, loyalty, website transformation and customer experience
  • Establish the operating cadence for the marketing organization, including executive reporting, KPI reviews and quarterly planning
  • Partner closely with Technology and Data teams to modernize the marketing technology stack, analytics capabilities and AI-enabled marketing tools
  • Drive initiatives that improve customer acquisition, conversion, retention and lifetime value
  • Develop scalable operating processes that enable marketing to execute more effectively as the organization continues to grow
  • Create executive and board-level reporting that provides visibility into marketing performance and strategic priorities
  • Work across departments to remove obstacles, improve alignment and ensure initiatives are delivered on time and with measurable impact
  • Help shape the long-term marketing strategy while remaining deeply involved in execution

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a builder—someone who enjoys creating structure where none exists and thrives in highly collaborative, fast-paced environments.

Successful candidates will likely bring experience such as:

  • 8+ years of experience in strategy consulting, strategic initiatives, growth strategy, marketing strategy, business transformation or a Chief of Staff-type leadership role
  • Experience leading complex, cross-functional strategic initiatives from planning through execution
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to translate data into actionable business decisions
  • Experience supporting digital marketing, customer acquisition or consumer growth initiatives
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms, marketing technology, analytics and AI-enabled marketing solutions
  • Executive presence with the ability to influence leaders across multiple functions
  • Experience in private equity-backed, high-growth or rapidly scaling organizations is highly valued

Preferred Backgrounds

Candidates may come from consulting firms such as Bain, McKinsey, BCG, EY-Parthenon, Deloitte or Accenture, or from strategy and transformation roles within digitally focused B2C organizations, consumer technology companies, marketplaces, hospitality, travel or other high-growth consumer businesses.

Industry experience is not required.

Why This Role?

This is a rare opportunity to help build the marketing organization for a company experiencing significant growth and investment. You'll work directly with an executive leadership team committed to modernizing marketing through technology, AI and data-driven decision making while helping shape the company's long-term growth strategy.

If you're energized by building, solving difficult problems and driving enterprise-level initiatives that create measurable business impact, we'd love to speak with you.
