Vice President of Revenue Operations
Remote
Our client is a rapidly growing, private equity-backed consumer marketplace that is transforming how customers discover, book and experience travel. With a national footprint, significant scale, and an ambitious growth trajectory, the company is building the leadership infrastructure required to support its next phase of expansion.
The organization is seeking a Vice President of Revenue to serve as a senior commercial and operating leader across a significant portion of the business. This is not a traditional revenue management role. The ideal candidate will combine a sophisticated understanding of revenue strategy with strong operating instincts, people leadership, and P&L orientation.
The Vice President of Revenue will oversee revenue management and regional marketing, partner closely with operations, finance, accounting, and business development, and ultimately take responsibility for approximately $500 million in revenue. This individual will play an important role in shaping the company's evolving divisional structure and building the commercial operating model required to support continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of senior revenue management leaders responsible for pricing, forecasting, inventory optimization, channel strategy, and overall revenue performance across a large multi-market portfolio.
- Own revenue outcomes and commercial performance across a significant portion of the company's national footprint.
- Provide leadership and strategic direction to regional marketing resources, ensuring revenue management and marketing strategies are tightly aligned.
- Develop and execute strategies to maximize revenue, profitability, market share, and long-term customer and partner value.
- Establish clear performance expectations, operating rhythms, KPIs, and accountability across the revenue organization.
- Partner closely with regional operations, finance, accounting, business development, and other functional leaders to drive coordinated business performance.
- Translate market data, demand trends, competitive intelligence, and customer behavior into actionable commercial strategies.
- Balance pricing, occupancy/utilization, channel mix, customer acquisition, and profitability when making commercial decisions.
- Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing team while building organizational capabilities to support continued scale.
- Support the integration and optimization of newly acquired businesses as the company continues to grow.
- Serve as a senior business leader with increasing responsibility for divisional strategy, financial performance, and P&L outcomes.
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will be an entrepreneurial, commercially minded operator who has led meaningful revenue outcomes in a complex, multi-location or multi-market business.
Hospitality, lodging, resorts, vacation rentals, travel, or another dynamic-pricing environment would be particularly relevant, but the company is open to outstanding operators from other consumer and service industries.
Ideal experience includes:
- Significant leadership experience within a scaled, multi-location or multi-market organization.
- Strong knowledge of revenue management, pricing, forecasting, demand optimization, and commercial strategy.
- Demonstrated operating and P&L orientation with a track record of driving measurable financial results.
- Experience leading through other senior leaders, ideally including Directors or regional-level executives.
- Broad commercial exposure beyond revenue management, including areas such as marketing, sales, distribution, customer acquisition, or channel strategy.
- Ability to operate effectively across a matrixed organization and influence leaders across operations, finance, marketing, and other functions.
- Experience working in a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial, or evolving organization where processes and organizational structures are still being built.
- Exposure to M&A, business integration, or multi-brand environments is advantageous.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership, investors, and other key stakeholders.
- A hands-on, low-ego leadership style and the ability to move comfortably between high-level strategy and day-to-day execution.
The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to join a high-growth organization at an important inflection point. The company is rapidly scaling its national platform and evolving toward a divisional operating structure that will create significant leadership opportunities as the business grows.
The Vice President of Revenue will have the opportunity to shape that structure rather than inherit a finished model, build and develop a high-performing team, and influence the commercial strategy of a business with substantial scale. The role offers meaningful visibility with senior leadership and the opportunity for the scope to expand alongside the organization.
