Aftermarket Sales Manager
Overview
We are seeking a results-driven Aftermarket Sales Manager to lead and grow our aftermarket business, including consumables, spare parts, service, and refurbishment offerings. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, improving margins, and delivering an exceptional customer experience while leading a high-performing sales team.
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in manufacturing sales, technical aptitude, and a passion for developing people and processes that support long-term customer success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop the aftermarket sales team to deliver outstanding customer service and achieve sales objectives
- Drive revenue growth and margin performance across all aftermarket product and service lines
- Oversee customer communications to ensure responsiveness, accuracy, and professionalism
- Strengthen team capabilities in product selection, pricing strategy, and margin optimization
- Ensure disciplined use of CRM and ERP systems for managing leads, opportunities, quotes, and orders
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, service, finance, and project management to improve execution and workflows
- Review and improve departmental processes to increase efficiency and scalability
- Prepare and deliver quotations for standard and semi-custom products and services
- Interpret customer requirements and recommend appropriate technical solutions
- Manage order lifecycle from entry through shipment, ensuring timely delivery and proactive communication
- Resolve customer issues, including complaints, returns, and order discrepancies
- Provide regular reporting on sales activity, forecasts, pipeline, and market trends
- Partner with account executives to identify and drive aftermarket sales opportunities tied to installed equipment
Qualifications
- 7+ years of sales experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Proven leadership experience managing and developing a sales or inside sales team
- Strong understanding of aftermarket business models, including parts, service, and refurbishment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and related documentation
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems; experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce is a plus
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical field preferred
