Director of Business Development and Provider Sales

Location: Schaumburg, IL

Position Overview

The nation’s leading, independent multi-specialty group is rapidly growing throughout Chicagoland and is seeking a results-driven Director of Business Development and Sales to lead a small team in expanding their market reach, with a core focus on priority services areas, including Radiology, Infusion, and PT/OT. This individual will be responsible for driving growth, and overseeing sales initiatives that enhance revenue and market share across prioritize service lines.

Strategic Sales Leader – Healthcare Services

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing sales team to drive business growth.
  • Market Expansion: Develop relationships with local healthcare providers, including physician practices, specialty groups, and hospitals, to enhance market reach.
  • Revenue Growth: Design and implement sales strategies to increase service utilization and revenue across key service lines.
  • Business Development: Identify new business opportunities and create targeted outreach initiatives to expand market presence.
  • Partnership Management: Build and nurture long-term relationships with key stakeholders to ensure sustained collaboration and customer satisfaction.
  • Data-Driven Strategy: Analyze sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities to refine sales approaches and optimize results.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with operations, marketing, and clinical teams to align sales initiatives with broader business goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 7–10 years of experience in healthcare business development, sales, or provider relations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven success in selling healthcare services, particularly in laboratory, infusion, and diagnostic imaging solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of the Illinois healthcare market and existing relationships with local providers (preferred).
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans that drive measurable results.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and sales performance tracking.
