This newly created position plays a central role in sourcing, evaluating, and executing M&A transactions, as well as supporting strategic growth initiatives that fuel the company’s national expansion.

As part of a dynamic and fast-paced environment, the Director of Corporate Development will lead deals from origination through integration, working closely with senior leadership, private equity sponsors, and external advisors. This is a unique opportunity to make a direct impact on a high-growth platform that has recently partnered with a top-tier private equity firm to accelerate its strategic vision.

Key Responsibilities

M&A Strategy & Deal Execution

  • Identify, assess, and execute acquisition opportunities that align with the company’s strategic objectives and growth roadmap
  • Own or support the full deal lifecycle: sourcing, valuation, due diligence, negotiation, closing, and integration
  • Maintain a robust deal pipeline, evaluating opportunities for strategic fit, ROI, and alignment with corporate priorities
  • Conduct market and competitive research to inform target identification and strategic positioning

Financial Modeling & Analysis

  • Develop and manage detailed financial models, including DCF, LBO, and accretion/dilution analyses
  • Evaluate target company performance, forecast future outlooks, and assess risks, synergies, and value creation opportunities
  • Translate complex data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations for internal stakeholders

Due Diligence & Transaction Management

  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional due diligence efforts, engaging internal stakeholders and third-party experts (e.g., QoE, legal, tax, environmental)
  • Identify and assess risks throughout the diligence process to ensure informed decision-making
  • Partner with legal, tax, and finance teams to structure deals and finalize transaction documentation

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Develop and present clear, concise investment memos and board-level presentations
  • Act as a key liaison for private equity sponsors, advisors, and internal functional leaders
  • Communicate risks, findings, and recommendations with credibility across all levels of the organization

Post-Close Integration & Value Creation

  • Collaborate with functional teams to support post-acquisition integration planning and execution
  • Monitor acquired businesses, track performance metrics, and help drive value realization initiatives
  • Report on deal KPIs and track progress against acquisition goals

Qualifications

Experience & Background

  • 5–8 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or transaction advisory
  • Strong deal experience with a proven ability to drive or support end-to-end M&A processes
  • Prior exposure to multi-site services, industrials, or transportation sectors is a plus
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments, especially private equity-backed organizations

Technical & Analytical Skills

  • Advanced financial modeling expertise, including DCF, LBO, and three-statement models
  • Solid understanding of corporate finance, valuation, accounting, and deal structuring
  • Familiarity with tax and legal considerations in M&A transactions

Execution & Leadership

  • Exceptional project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple deals simultaneously
  • Strong communicator, capable of presenting to C-suite executives and investment partners
  • High level of initiative, with a process-driven, self-starter mindset
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build credibility across functional teams
