Regional Sales Representative
As the Regional Sales Representative, you will be the key point of contact between our customers, distributors and our business unit in San Antonio, helping to foster strong relationships, streamline sales processes, and drive performance. You will play an essential role in supporting the sales efforts, providing product and technical guidance, and contributing to the growth of Scania in the region.
Location: Midwest and Great Lakes Region
Reporting to: Sales & Marketing Director – San Antonio, Texas
Travel Requirement: High travel within the assigned region
Key Responsibilities:
* Find opportunities, qualify and quote them, negotiate, close the sale and own the relationship with the account through distributors.
* Sales strategies, training, product knowledge, and operational assistance to help them meet and exceed sales targets.
* Work closely with the San Antonio business unit to ensure alignment on goals, product availability, and sales strategies.
* Assist with sales forecasting and tracking performance in the region. Analyze market trends.
* Conduct regular visits to distributors and OEMs to provide direct support, build relationships, and gather feedback on customer needs.
* Report on sales performance, customer feedback, and market conditions to the San Antonio business unit.
* Creating tailored sales presentations for customers.
* Required to travel frequently within the region to visit distributors, attend industry events, and meet with key customers.
Qualifications:
University degree (preferred). Engineering, Business Management career or equivalent 3 years of sales experience preferably within the automotive, marine, or industrial sectors.
Knowledge of internal combustion engines is also a plus.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Problem-solving mindset, with the ability to think on your feet and adapt to new challenges.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, ensuring seamless collaboration with the San Antonio business unit.

Proficiency in Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Dynamics) tools.
Proficient in use of a CRM
Deliver professional presentations for small and big audiences
High level of motivation and initiative.
