Senior Financial Analyst, Operational Finance
This position sits within a highly acquisitive multi-site healthcare organization with 450+ locations and presence in 20+ states.
As a Senior Financial Analyst within the Financial Planning & Analysis team, you will collaborate with various departments (e.g., operations, accounting, strategy) to drive business outcomes. Your role will involve conducting key analyses to gain a deeper understanding of our rapidly expanding business and help forecast future performance.
Candidates will have the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment.
Core Responsibilities:
- Prepare and generate financial reports and key operating metrics
- Develop and maintain financial models to analyze historical performance and project future results
- Investigate budget-versus-actual variances on a monthly basis to explain organizational performance
- Provide regular and ad hoc analytical support to clinical and operational leadership, offering insights into performance trends
- Work collaboratively with team members and contribute to various other projects and assignments as needed
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Excel is essential, with advanced skills being preferred. Key examples include Pivot Tables, SUMIFS, XLOOKUP, etc.
- Experience in financial modeling
- Basic understanding of GAAP principles
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g., PowerBI or similar software) is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail, particularly when cross-checking and validating figures
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team across different levels of the organization
- Strong communication skills across departments
- Excellent customer service orientation
- Knowledge of SQL is a plus
- Experience with Power Query is preferred
- Experience in compensation management is preferred
Education and Experience Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, STEM, or accounting is required
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a finance or analytics role is required; 3 years of experience is preferred
