As a high-growth, multi-state specialty healthcare platform, the organization is scaling rapidly through acquisitions, integration, and innovation. This role is critical to shaping a recruitment function that is both a growth engine and a cultural steward.

Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the VP will partner closely with the C-suite to architect and execute a provider recruitment strategy aligned with business goals, service line development, and long-term growth planning. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity that bridges recruitment strategy with operational scalability.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership in Recruitment Strategy

  • Spearhead the development and execution of national recruitment strategies for physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs).

  • Create a data-driven hiring roadmap that aligns with organizational goals and priorities.

  • Enhance the organization’s reputation through exceptional candidate experiences, seamless onboarding, and a compelling employer value proposition.

Operational Integration & Workforce Planning

  • Collaborate with Operations and Finance to ensure recruitment efforts are aligned with productivity models and market demands.

  • Build scalable recruitment systems to support growth across multiple markets.

  • Utilize workforce forecasting tools to proactively anticipate and address hiring needs.

Executive & Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the executive leadership team, providing strategic counsel on recruitment matters.

  • Contribute to M&A efforts, workforce integration, and market expansion planning.

  • Partner with clinical leadership to ensure provider alignment with organizational culture and quality standards.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and develop a high-performing, results-driven clinical recruitment team.

  • Set clear KPIs, establish training paths, and foster a culture of accountability and excellence.

  • Cultivate deep expertise in specialty provider recruitment across diverse healthcare sectors.

Data-Driven Decision Making

  • Develop and maintain recruitment dashboards to track key metrics such as pipeline health, time-to-fill, retention, and cost-per-hire.

  • Leverage data insights to guide decision-making and adjust recruitment strategies to meet organizational objectives.

  • Ensure recruitment analytics are closely aligned with broader organizational goals and performance metrics.

Provider Engagement & Retention

  • Work with HR and Clinical Operations to refine onboarding processes, mentorship programs, and overall provider engagement.

  • Implement retention strategies to improve provider satisfaction and reduce turnover.

  • Champion a high-quality, mission-aligned experience for all providers throughout their journey with the organization.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Experience: 10+ years in clinical or physician recruitment, with a strong preference for backgrounds in PE-backed or multi-site healthcare settings.

  • Operational Expertise: Proven success scaling recruitment operations and teams in fast-paced, dynamic environments.

  • Strategic Vision: Deep understanding of workforce strategy, provider compensation structures, and multi-state recruitment.

  • Collaborative Leadership: Strong ability to work cross-functionally with C-Suite leaders, clinical teams, and other key stakeholders.

  • Analytical Mindset: Highly skilled in using data analytics, predictive hiring models, and workforce planning tools to drive recruitment decisions.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
