Vice President – Practice Operations
The Vice President of Operations is responsible for leading, administering, and managing the overall clinical and administrative operations of this specialty physician group’s PA market. The VP of Ops plans, directs, coordinates and monitors clinical programs and operations to ensure efficient and effective service delivery to patients at all times. The VP of Operations maintains P&L accountability for the 20+ cares centers, 150+ providers and is responsible for the promotion of the group’s mission, vision, and values in the market. It will facilitate the integration and leadership of all coming acquisitions and denovo build-outs across the territory as the market is continuously developed.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning:

Accountable for the successful execution and management of market-specific strategies to ensure the long-term financial success and viability of the practice.

Develop and oversee annual operating plans that align with the company’s strategic, financial, clinical, and operational objectives.

Identify opportunities for geographic expansion through both organic growth and acquisitions.
Management and Administration:

Monitor the group’s performance against established goals and objectives, identifying areas for improvement.

Lead practice managers and two Directors within the territory, providing direction and support.

Initiate, implement, and track initiatives aimed at reducing medical expenses, enhancing quality, improving customer service, and increasing staff productivity.

Partner with the Executive Committee to ensure sound market governance and alignment with company objectives, ensuring that clinical and operational plans are clearly communicated, executed, and monitored.

Work closely with physician leadership to ensure that all providers operate efficiently, adhering to company policies and procedures.

Assist physician leadership and clinical program medical directors in implementing new programs and services.

Provide strong leadership, team-building, and role modeling to all staff members.

Foster an environment where all clinical services are provided according to standards of practice and comply with all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.

Ensure the organization has the appropriate mix of trained clinical and administrative staff to achieve its vision and objectives.

Align strategic objectives with current and future federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.

Manage the annual performance review process for the group, in line with company policies and procedures.
Accounting and Finance:

Maintain full P&L accountability for the group, including revenue, EBITDA budget targets, KPIs, and overall practice expenses.

Ensure that effective financial controls are in place and maintained to safeguard company assets.

Oversee the development of annual operating budgets for the group, working closely with the company’s Operational and Financial leadership teams.

Continuously seek opportunities to enhance product and service offerings to increase overall practice profitability.
Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; Master’s degree strongly preferred.

10+ years of experience in operational and P&L leadership in a multi-site healthcare setting.
