Job Description

Senior Analyst, Finance & M&A

A private equity-backed consumer services organization is seeking its first dedicated FP&A resource to partner directly with the CFO. As the company continues to scale through both organic growth and strategic acquisitions, this individual will play a key role in building the financial planning and analysis function, developing reporting and forecasting capabilities, supporting M&A activity, and providing the insights needed to drive informed business decisions.

This is a unique opportunity to help build the company's financial planning and reporting infrastructure in a lean, entrepreneurial environment. The Senior Analyst will play a key role in developing financial reporting, forecasting, and analytics while supporting the organization's M&A pipeline and acquisition activity. This role offers significant visibility, meaningful ownership, and the opportunity to grow alongside a rapidly expanding platform.

Office Environment: Remote with travel for acquisition diligence and integration

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages for executive leadership, board reporting, lender reporting, and operational KPI analysis.
  • Support the annual budgeting process, periodic forecasting, and variance analysis, linking operational performance to financial results.
  • Maintain and support the acquisition pipeline by tracking opportunities, updating deal models, and assisting with transaction prioritization.
  • Support financial due diligence, acquisition modeling, integration tracking, and other activities related to add-on acquisitions.
  • Develop and maintain KPI reporting, dashboards, and financial analytics that provide leadership with timely, actionable business insights.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve financial reporting processes, data quality, and system capabilities.
  • Gather, validate, and analyze financial and operational data from multiple sources to create scalable and reliable reporting.
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis and strategic projects in support of the CFO and senior leadership team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in investment banking, FP&A, corporate finance, accounting, transaction advisory, or a finance role with significant analytical responsibilities.
  • Strong financial modeling and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, manipulate, and present financial and operational data effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings to senior leadership.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and high-growth environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within a private equity-backed, multi-site, or acquisitive organization.
  • Exposure to mergers and acquisitions, financial due diligence, or post-acquisition integration.
  • Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools such as Power BI, SQL, or Power Query.
  • Progress toward a CPA, CFA, or other relevant professional designation is a plus.
  • Experience supporting consumer services, multi-location, or other service-oriented businesses is preferred.

Success Profile

  • Produces accurate, organized, and decision-ready financial reporting.
  • Takes ownership of projects and drives work independently from start to finish.
  • Continuously seeks opportunities to improve processes, reporting, and analytics.
  • Thrives in a collaborative, high-growth environment with the ambition to grow alongside the organization.
