Vice President of Finance

A rapidly growing, private equity-backed organization is seeking a Vice President of Finance to serve as the senior financial leader for a multi-site organization. This executive will partner with senior leadership to shape financial strategy, strengthen operational performance, and build the infrastructure necessary to support continued expansion.

The Vice President of Finance will play a critical role in translating business objectives into financial strategies by delivering meaningful analysis, improving decision-making capabilities, and establishing scalable planning and reporting processes. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership while helping drive profitable growth, operational discipline, and long-term value creation.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Act as the strategic finance partner to executive leadership by providing insight and guidance on financial performance, business initiatives, investment opportunities, and long-term growth strategies.
  • Direct the organization's financial planning activities, including annual operating plans, rolling forecasts, long-range planning, scenario analysis, and resource allocation.
  • Build and enhance financial reporting capabilities by delivering executive-level dashboards, key performance metrics, and actionable business intelligence that supports informed decision-making.
  • Evaluate business performance through detailed financial and operational analysis, identifying opportunities to improve profitability, efficiency, and overall business results.
  • Lead the development of financial models and analytical tools used to assess investments, commercial initiatives, pricing strategies, capital deployment, and strategic priorities.
  • Champion the evolution of finance by implementing scalable processes, strengthening governance, and improving the quality, consistency, and accessibility of financial information across the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to ensure financial considerations are embedded within operational planning, commercial execution, and organizational priorities.
  • Provide financial oversight for strategic initiatives by measuring performance, assessing risks, and recommending actions that support sustainable growth and value creation.
  • Partner with accounting leadership to ensure financial reporting, internal controls, compliance, and governance standards remain effective as the business continues to scale.
  • Prepare and present financial analyses, business cases, and strategic recommendations for executive leadership and other key stakeholders.
  • Develop and mentor a high-performing finance organization while fostering a culture centered on accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Progressive finance leadership experience supporting complex, multi-site or high-growth organizations.
  • Demonstrated success partnering with executive leadership to influence strategy, improve operating performance, and support organizational growth.
  • Expertise in financial planning and analysis, business partnering, forecasting, financial modeling, performance management, and strategic decision support.
  • Experience designing and implementing scalable finance processes, reporting frameworks, and operational controls within a dynamic environment.
  • Strong commercial and operational acumen with the ability to evaluate investments, business opportunities, and financial performance through a strategic lens.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of an organization.
  • Prior experience within a private equity-backed, acquisitive, or rapidly growing organization is strongly preferred.
  • MBA, CPA, CFA, or other advanced professional designation is a plus.
  • Experience supporting acquisitions, integrations, business transformation, or organizational scaling initiatives is highly desirable.
