Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis

This position will play a key role within FP&A, with primary responsibility for corporate operating expense planning, forecasting, and performance management. The role will partner closely with functional leaders and Finance to manage OpEx budgets, understand key cost drivers, analyze performance, and provide actionable insights that improve forecast accuracy and support strategic decision-making.


This individual will also support cash flow forecasting, investment tracking, executive and Board reporting, and other strategic financial analyses across the organization.


The position is 100% remote.


Responsibilities

  • Own corporate OpEx budgeting, forecasting, and monthly variance analysis across functional departments.
  • Partner with department and budget owners to understand operating drivers, headcount, spending trends, and other factors impacting financial performance.
  • Analyze actual results against budget and forecast, identify key drivers of variances, and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
  • Develop and maintain detailed financial models to improve visibility into operating expenses and support short- and long-term planning.
  • Drive greater forecasting accuracy by identifying trends, evaluating historical performance, and incorporating operational changes into financial projections.
  • Own and maintain cash flow forecasting models, providing regular updates to leadership and partnering with Treasury on liquidity and cash requirements.
  • Track investment and strategic initiative spending, partnering with budget owners to maintain accurate forecasts and monitor performance against plan.
  • Develop executive-level financial analyses, presentations, and reporting for senior leadership and Board meetings.
  • Partner closely with Accounting to understand monthly results, improve reporting processes, and ensure clear visibility into financial performance.
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis and modeling to support strategic initiatives, operational decisions, and process improvements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve FP&A processes, reporting, systems, and financial visibility across the organization.
  • Communicate financial results and key business drivers clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive FP&A, corporate finance, or related financial experience.
  • Strong experience managing operating expense budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis across multiple corporate functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with functional leaders and translate operational activity into financial forecasts and insights.
  • Strong financial modeling skills with experience developing both detailed and executive-level analyses.
  • Solid understanding of the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement.
  • Experience with cash flow forecasting and working capital analysis preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends, explain performance drivers, and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Experience preparing executive-level presentations and communicating financial results to senior leadership.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Experience with ERP and financial planning systems; Microsoft D365 or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Experience within a large, complex, or private equity-backed organization preferred.
  • Healthcare experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication and business partnership skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple functions and levels of leadership.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
