Job Description

Director, Regional HR Business Partner

About the role

This is a hybrid of an internal consultant and HR business partner seat: the Director raises talent outcomes for

the Regional VPs who run a national, multi-brand hospitality business.

Our client is a fast-growing, private equity backed hospitality services company operating a portfolio of brands

across the United States. Growth comes from both organic expansion and acquisitions.

As the lead people partner for a region, you will work with Regional VPs to find where talent is limiting results

and build the programs that fix it. As the platform grows, this role is expected to build and lead a small regional

team.

What you will do

• Consult to Regional VPs on talent and organizational issues, from diagnosis to results.

• Own regional talent strategy: talent reviews, succession, career pathing, and leadership bench depth.

• Lead org design and workforce planning as markets scale.

• Tie every program to a business goal and a metric you can measure.

• Lead people integration for acquisitions while protecting what makes each local brand work.

• Build programs from scratch across a multi-site footprint, then scale them with central People teams.

• Coach leaders on performance and employee relations, partnering with Legal and central ER on complex

matters.

What we are looking for

The bar is a blend of four strengths. The strongest candidates bring at least three.

1 Operating leadership: you have run a team, site, region, or P&L, not only supported one from HR.

2 Talent management: you have built talent review, succession, and career pathing processes, with results

to show.

3 HR leadership: you have led HR people and programs.

4 Consulting: you have worked as an internal or external consultant.

Also required:

• Analytical rigor and strong academics: a strong academic foundation, such as an advanced degree, is

valued.

• Proof of impact: the business goal, the metric, the size of the change, and your part in it.

• Multi-site or distributed experience.

• Regular travel to regional markets.

Experience in private equity backed, acquisitive, high growth businesses is a strong plus.

Backgrounds that tend to thrive here

• Consultants at the Consultant, Project Leader, or Engagement Manager level moving into an operating

seat.

• Operators who moved into talent or HR.

• Analytical HR leaders from rotational programs who mixed internal consulting with HRBP work.

• HR leaders who have built teams in PE backed, multi-site businesses.

Logistics

• Title: Director, Regional HR Business Partner

• Location: United States, open to candidates nationwide

• Travel: regular travel to regional markets
