Litigation Paralegal
Litigation Paralegal
Commercial Litigation Law Firm | Central Phoenix
Location: Central Phoenix, AZ 85014 (on site)
Job Type: Full Time
Practice Focus: Commercial and business litigation, construction disputes, insurance recovery
About the Firm
Our client is a Central Phoenix commercial litigation firm founded in 2017 to give businesses large-firm trained lawyers without the overhead and cost that usually comes with them. With more than 62 years of combined experience, the partners have grown the firm to include five additional attorneys.
Practice areas include:
• Business and commercial litigation
• Construction and construction litigation
• Insurance recovery and bad-faith claims
• Dispute resolution, including mediator and arbitrator services
• Outside general counsel services and estate planning
The Opportunity
The firm is looking for an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support all of the firm's attorneys across an active docket in both federal and Arizona state courts. This is a hands-on role in a small, collaborative firm where your work directly shapes case strategy and trial readiness. You will see matters from intake through trial or resolution, work closely with nationally experienced litigators, and have the variety that comes with a practice spanning complex commercial, construction, and insurance disputes.
The right person knows the Federal and Arizona Rules of Civil Procedure, is comfortable with court filing and procedural requirements, writes clearly, catches the details others miss, and can balance competing priorities for multiple attorneys without losing track of a deadline.
Key Responsibilities
• Drafting: Prepare deposition notices, subpoenas, motions, pleadings, discovery requests and responses, and related correspondence for attorney review.
• Court Filings: Prepare, file, and serve documents through PACER/CM/ECF and Arizona state court e-filing systems, ensuring compliance with applicable rules and local requirements.
• Case Management: Track and calendar deadlines, hearings, and court dates; monitor dockets; and keep matters moving on schedule across multiple attorneys.
• Discovery Support: Organize and manage document collections and productions using e-discovery platforms, including Bates labeling, privilege logs, and review support.
• Trial and Hearing Preparation: Assemble trial notebooks, exhibit and witness lists, and exhibits; coordinate logistics; and support attorneys during trial, arbitration, and mediation.
• Research: Conduct factual and legal research, gather public records, and summarize deposition transcripts and key documents.
• File Management: Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files within the firm's matter management system.
• Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to attorneys and handle other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
• Paralegal certification required
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the legal field, with litigation experience strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and Arizona Rules of Civil Procedure
• Conversant with PACER and Arizona state court e-filing systems
• Conversant with e-discovery platforms and matter management systems
• Strong writing skills and careful attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities for several attorneys at once
• Experience with commercial, construction, or insurance coverage litigation is a plus
Benefits
• Competitive pay
• Medical and dental insurance
• 401(k) with firm participation
• Defined benefit plan
• Paid time off (PTO)
