Job Description

San Antonio, Texas | Full-time | 100% On-site

A hands-on leadership role combining operational ownership, team leadership, inventory and parts planning, and a significant systems transformation agenda.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a senior, hands-on Parts & Planning leader to take ownership of a vital US and Canada parts operation and lead its next stage of development.

This role combines day-to-day operational execution with leadership of the Parts & Planning team, inventory and assortment planning, parts distribution, pricing, customer support, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will work directly alongside the operational team to ensure delivery while also challenging established processes and introducing more efficient ways of working.

The operation is supplied through international sources and serves a broad U.S. dealer and distributor network. The position therefore requires strong planning discipline, operational agility, and the ability to balance parts availability, inventory investment, logistics cost, and customer service.

Why This Role Matters

The Parts function is entering an important phase of development. The new Manager will not only run the current operation but will also help shape a more efficient, scalable, and modern way of working. A major component of the role will be the evolution of legacy parts processes and systems, including participation in system development, integration, and migration initiatives with global teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead & Develop the Team – lead, organize, coach, and develop the Parts & Planning team while actively contributing to operational execution.

• Own Parts Planning & Inventory – define assortment, ordering, replenishment, and stock optimization strategies.

• Drive Daily Operational Execution – remain hands-on in day-to-day parts operations, including orders, backorders, availability, and urgent customer issues.

• Manage Parts Distribution – coordinate warehouse operations, carriers, customs brokers, and other logistics partners.

• Own Parts Pricing & Order Processes – oversee pricing analysis, price books, and order management processes.

• Lead Systems Transformation – act as the key business representative for Parts in system development, integration, implementation, and migration initiatives.

• Modernize the Function – challenge existing ways of working and identify opportunities for simplification, automation, and digitalization.

• Collaborate Globally – work closely with global entities and corporate functions on spare parts systems, processes, and standards.

What We Are Looking For

• Proven leadership experience in parts, aftermarket, inventory planning, supply chain, logistics, or a closely related environment.

• A strong hands-on leadership style: comfortable leading a team while personally participating in operational execution when needed.

• Strong experience with inventory planning, stock optimization, ordering, replenishment, and international supply lead times.

• Experience working with ERP, parts, inventory, order-management, or similar operational systems.

• Demonstrated experience in system implementation, migration, transformation, or major process improvement initiatives.

• Strong continuous-improvement mindset, with the ability to challenge legacy processes.

• Strong analytical and business acumen, balancing inventory availability, working capital, logistics costs, and customer service.

• Comfort operating in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills across countries, functions, and external partners.

• Experience in automotive, commercial vehicles, heavy equipment, industrial equipment, machinery, or another complex parts environment is preferred.

Working Environment

San Antonio, Texas. 100% on-site, Monday through Friday. The role operates in a lean organization and requires a high level of ownership, responsiveness, and collaboration.
