HR Regional Business Manager
Position Summary
We are seeking a Regional Business Manager to support Human Resources operations across two manufacturing facilities with approximately 95 employees. This role serves as a trusted partner to leadership and employees, providing support in recruiting, employee relations, payroll coordination, benefits administration, compliance, training, and workforce development.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR professional who enjoys working directly with employees and managers while helping drive a positive, productive, and compliant workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Support recruiting and hiring efforts for assigned locations.
- Coordinate onboarding activities and conduct new hire orientation.
- Maintain employee records and personnel files to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Employee Relations
- Partner with managers on employee relations matters, performance management, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
- Foster positive employee relationships and support retention initiatives.
- Coordinate employee recognition and engagement activities.
- Assist in creating a productive and positive work environment.
Payroll, Benefits & Leave Administration
- Coordinate payroll activities for multiple facilities.
- Administer employee benefit enrollments and changes.
- Manage leave programs, including FMLA, Workers' Compensation, Short-Term Disability, and Long-Term Disability.
- Process employee separations and related benefit transitions.
Training & Development
- Conduct orientation and employee training programs.
- Maintain training records and support workforce development initiatives.
- Assist leadership with identifying and addressing training needs.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations.
- Support workplace safety initiatives and serve as a liaison between employees and leadership regarding EHS-related matters.
- Assist with audits, investigations, and policy implementation.
HR Projects & Strategic Support
- Participate in HR projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Support the review and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Assist leadership with strategic workforce and organizational initiatives.
Qualifications
Required
- 3+ years of Human Resources experience.
- Experience in employee relations, recruiting, benefits administration, and HR compliance.
- Knowledge of employment laws, FMLA, ADA, Workers' Compensation, and leave administration.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS/payroll systems.
Preferred
- Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or operations environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification.
- Experience with payroll processing and benefits administration.
