Branch Manager–Civil Construction
Position Summary
The Branch Manager is responsible for the overall leadership and performance of a regional traffic control branch. This includes P&L management, revenue growth, field operations oversight, regulatory compliance, workforce development, and customer relationship management. The role requires a hands-on leader who can balance strategic growth initiatives with day-to-day operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead all branch operations with full P&L accountability
• Develop and execute strategies to drive revenue growth and expand market share
• Build and maintain relationships with DOT, municipal, utility, and contractor clients
• Oversee project scheduling, equipment allocation, fleet management, and inventory control
• Ensure strict compliance with OSHA, DOT, and state traffic control regulations
• Champion a strong safety culture with measurable performance improvements
• Recruit, train, and develop supervisors and field personnel
• Review bids, support pricing strategy, and ensure successful contract execution
• Monitor KPIs including revenue, margins, safety metrics, utilization, and retention
Qualifications
• 7+ years of experience in traffic control, civil construction, infrastructure services, or related industry
• 3+ years in a leadership role with P&L responsibility
• Experience managing field teams in a service-based or construction environment
• Strong knowledge of traffic control standards and regulatory requirements
• Demonstrated success growing revenue and improving operational performance
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Experience bidding and pricing project-based or service-based work preferred
