The Director, Value-Based Care (VBC) is responsible for leading the financial strategy and performance management of the Value-Based Care division. This role oversees FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, operational analytics, and cross-functional business partnering while driving process improvement, standardization, and scalable finance operations. Working closely with executive leadership, the Director will provide the financial insights needed to support growth, improve profitability, and execute the organization's strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate brings a combination of strategic thinking and operational execution, with experience building finance capabilities in a high-growth, private equity-backed environment.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the strategic finance partner to Value-Based Care leadership, providing financial guidance to support growth, operational performance, and strategic decision-making.
- Partner with executive leadership to drive EBITDA improvement through pricing strategies, margin enhancement, cost optimization, and proactive risk management.
- Develop annual budgets, long-range plans, rolling forecasts, cash flow projections, and financial models to support business planning and new growth initiatives.
- Analyze the financial performance of value-based care contracts, including revenue recognition, shared savings, reimbursement trends, and profitability to support forecasting and long-term planning.
- Build financial models and scenario analyses to evaluate new and existing contracts, business opportunities, and strategic investments.
- Partner cross-functionally with operations, clinical leadership, medical economics, accounting, and network management to identify performance trends, quantify improvement opportunities, and drive operational execution.
- Monitor key performance indicators including utilization, cost of care, quality metrics, patient engagement, labor costs, provider productivity, and contractual performance to identify risks and opportunities.
- Develop executive dashboards, scorecards, and reporting that connect financial, operational, and clinical performance to support data-driven decision making.
- Lead financial analysis for care model investments, population health initiatives, network expansion, and performance improvement strategies.
- Support client negotiations and strategic initiatives by providing financial insights, scenario modeling, and risk assessments.
- Ensure financial reporting processes are accurate, scalable, and aligned with enterprise accounting and operational reporting standards.
- Build and standardize finance processes, reporting, planning tools, KPIs, and internal controls to support continued organizational growth.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through process optimization, automation, and system enhancements.
- Support board reporting, lender requests, investor reporting, and long-term strategic planning.
- Foster a culture of accountability through disciplined business reviews, performance measurement, and continuous improvement across the Value-Based Care organization.
Education, Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required; MBA and/or CPA preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive finance leadership experience with expertise in FP&A, operational finance, budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and executive reporting.
- Healthcare services experience required; value-based care experience strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting private equity-backed, high-growth, or transformational organizations preferred.
- Demonstrated success driving EBITDA improvement, operational performance, and scalable finance processes.
- Strong analytical, financial modeling, and business partnering skills with the ability to influence executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Proven experience developing KPI dashboards, performance reporting, and financial insights that drive operational and strategic decision-making.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment while balancing strategic initiatives with hands-on financial leadership.
