Job Description

Senior Manager, Value Creation

Private Equity–Backed Precision Manufacturing Platform

Location: Northeast U.S. preferred (NY/Long Island a plus, not required). Eastern or Central time zones ideal.

Travel: Limited; occasional domestic site visits as needed.

Reports to: General Manager, U.S. Operations

About the Company

This opportunity is with a high-growth, private equity–backed precision manufacturing platform serving leading MedTech and industrial customers. The business operates globally with manufacturing sites in the U.S. and Europe. Approximately 75% of revenue is derived from MedTech, and the company is scaling rapidly through a combination of organic initiatives and an active acquisition strategy.

With strong profitability, no debt, and multiple acquisitions currently under LOI, the company is investing in operational leadership to support the next phase of growth and ensure scalable performance across its manufacturing footprint.

The Opportunity

The Senior Manager of Value Creation is a newly created role designed to help drive operational performance, integration execution, and strategic initiatives across the U.S. manufacturing platform. Reporting to the GM of U.S. Operations, this leader will work closely with plant leadership and executive management to implement operational improvements, support post-acquisition integration efforts, and build the infrastructure needed to scale the platform effectively.

The role combines hands-on operational improvement within manufacturing environments with broader value creation initiatives tied to performance improvement and platform expansion. Key initiatives include manufacturing throughput optimization, cycle time analysis, cost modeling, operational KPI development, ERP and planning system integration, and supporting the integration of newly acquired businesses.

This position is well suited for someone who enjoys working directly within manufacturing environments while also contributing to broader operational and strategic initiatives within a growing private equity–backed platform.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Performance & Continuous Improvement

  • Partner with plant leadership to identify and implement Kaizen-style process improvements across manufacturing operations.
  • Analyze production workflows to calculate cycle times, identify bottlenecks, and improve throughput across key manufacturing processes.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency, productivity, and manufacturing output.
  • Support operational improvement efforts tied to EBITDA growth and scalable manufacturing performance.

Shop Floor Performance Management

  • Develop and implement KPI frameworks that improve visibility into shop-floor performance.
  • Establish reporting structures and operating rhythms that enable proactive performance management across production teams.
  • Work with plant leadership to translate operational data into actionable improvement plans.

Cost Modeling & Financial Insight

  • Build and refine cost accounting models that provide greater transparency into manufacturing costs and margins.
  • Support leadership in identifying cost reduction opportunities and productivity improvements.
  • Help connect operational performance metrics with financial outcomes and value creation targets.

Systems & Operational Infrastructure

  • Support the implementation and optimization of ERP and planning systems across the manufacturing environment.
  • Assist with integrating production planning, scheduling, and operational reporting capabilities.
  • Help ensure operational systems support improved decision-making and production planning.

Post-Acquisition Integration & Platform Value Creation

  • Support the integration of newly acquired businesses into the operating platform.
  • Partner with leadership to stabilize operations, align processes, and implement operational best practices post-acquisition.
  • Assist in identifying synergy opportunities and operational improvement initiatives across acquired companies.
  • Contribute to cross-platform initiatives designed to improve operational scalability and consistency.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 5–8+ years of experience in consulting, operations, manufacturing engineering, operational strategy, or private equity value creation roles.
  • Meaningful exposure to manufacturing environments, including operational improvement initiatives or shop-floor engagement.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or Kaizen-style operational methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate manufacturing data, cycle times, and operational performance metrics.
  • Exposure to cost modeling, operational finance, or cost accounting within manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems or manufacturing planning tools is a plus.
  • Experience supporting integrations, operational transformations, or value creation initiatives in a PE-backed environment is preferred.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with plant leadership, engineering, finance, and operations teams.

Why This Role

This is an opportunity to play a meaningful role in driving value creation inside a profitable, private equity–backed MedTech manufacturing platform at a key growth stage. The Senior Manager of Value Creation will work closely with operations leadership to improve manufacturing performance, support acquisition integration, and help build the operational infrastructure required for the company’s next phase of growth.
