Career Opportunity
Account Executive
Account Executive
Live music only works when the right artists, audiences, and partners show up together. This role turns that mix into reliable revenue—sponsorships, private events, and brand partnerships that fund better nights and bigger stages for emerging talent. You will own a book of business and be measured on deals that actually happen, not activity that looks busy.
Performance Objectives
- Build and close a pipeline of venue partnerships, sponsorships, and private-event bookings that hits quarterly revenue targets.
- Convert local and national brands into multi-show or season-long commitments tied to artist calendars and audience segments.
- Package talent, space, and audience access into clear offers buyers can approve without a long internal rewrite.
- Shorten the path from first conversation to signed agreement by running a disciplined follow-up and proposal cadence.
- Protect margin: price inventory, production add-ons, and exclusivity so wins do not erode show economics.
- Retain and expand key accounts so a meaningful share of annual revenue comes from repeat buyers, not one-off asks.
- Feed programming and operations early intel on buyer demand so sold nights stay executable.
Environment & Resources
You join a compact commercial team inside a live-entertainment operation that books local, regional, and national emerging artists across rooms and platforms. You work with programming, marketing, and production, report to commercial leadership, and use a shared CRM, rate cards, and a defined inventory of dates, sponsorship assets, and private-event holds. Deal support includes standard contracts, production estimates, and marketing co-op—not a blank check.
Essential Qualifications
- Proven record closing sponsorship, hospitality, or live-event revenue against a quota.
- Ability to build offers from a calendar, audience, and space—not from a generic media kit alone.
- Comfort negotiating price, exclusivity, and production scope while keeping shows deliverable.
- Clear written proposals and confident in-person or on-site selling with brand, agency, and private clients.
- Discipline with pipeline hygiene: forecasts you can defend and follow-up you actually do.
- Working knowledge of live music or experiential events enough to speak credibly with buyers and internal producers.
Why This Role
- Revenue you book is visible on stage—artists, rooms, and nights, not abstract impressions.
- Early-stage commercial motion: room to shape packages, not just run a locked playbook.
- Access to emerging artists and cross-platform audiences brands cannot buy from a single national tour.
- Direct line to the people who program and produce the shows you sell.
If you can fill a calendar with the right partners and stand behind the number, apply with a short note on a deal you closed and what made it stick.
