Our client is a physician-led, multi-specialty healthcare organizations, providing comprehensive outpatient care across an extensive network of primary care and specialty practices. As the organization continues to invest in operational excellence and patient access, it is seeking a dynamic Director of Operations to lead a regional portfolio of primary care clinics.
This leader will partner closely with physicians, clinic managers, and executive leadership to improve operational performance, elevate the patient experience, and drive meaningful business results across a diverse network of practices. This is a highly visible leadership role requiring an individual who thrives in complex environments, leads with urgency, and is comfortable making difficult decisions to improve outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide operational leadership for a regional portfolio of primary care clinics serving diverse patient populations.
- Partner with physicians, Clinic Managers, and clinical leaders to improve access, operational performance, patient experience, and financial results.
- Recruit, develop, coach, and mentor Clinic Managers while building a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Analyze operational and financial performance metrics to identify opportunities and implement sustainable improvements.
- Lead operational initiatives that improve clinic efficiency, patient access, care coordination, and quality outcomes.
- Drive execution of organizational priorities through effective change management and cross-functional collaboration.
- Establish operational standards and ensure consistent execution across multiple practice locations.
- Work closely with physician leadership to identify performance gaps and develop actionable improvement plans.
- Promote accountability through regular performance reviews, data-driven decision making, and ongoing coaching.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Nursing, or a related field preferred.
Experience
- 5-10 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations, provider group management, or multi-site ambulatory healthcare administration.
- Experience leading operations across multiple clinic locations.
- Demonstrated success partnering directly with physicians and clinical leadership.
- Proven track record of improving operational performance and executing strategic initiatives.
- Experience leading teams through organizational change and performance improvement efforts.
- Knowledge of both fee-for-service and value-based care delivery models.
