The Opportunity
Reporting to the Director of Pharmacy, the Pharmacy Manager, Infusion Services will provide operational leadership for a growing infusion pharmacy business spanning multiple sites across the Chicagoland area. This individual will be responsible for driving operational excellence, regulatory compliance, financial performance, and service line growth while helping position the organization for its next phase of expansion.
This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for a PharmD who enjoys building processes, improving performance, and leading teams through growth and change. The successful candidate will partner closely with pharmacy, nursing, operations, finance, and physician leadership to optimize infusion services, improve patient access, enhance profitability, and support innovative treatment programs.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Provide leadership and oversight for infusion pharmacy operations across multiple infusion sites.
- Lead pharmacy supervisors and staff to achieve operational, quality, service, and financial objectives.
- Ensure safe, efficient, and compliant pharmacy operations.
- Develop and implement standardized workflows, policies, and best practices across locations.
- Drive operational consistency and support continued growth of infusion services.
Growth & Performance Improvement
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators related to productivity, patient access, therapy starts, turnaround times, inventory management, and financial performance.
- Identify opportunities to increase infusion capture, reduce leakage, and improve patient retention.
- Partner with clinical and operational leaders to support growth initiatives across oncology and specialty infusion services.
- Evaluate and implement process improvement, automation, and technology initiatives that improve efficiency and scalability.
- Support expansion of infusion services, treatment offerings, and new business opportunities.
Financial & Business Management
- Partner with finance leadership to monitor reimbursement trends, drug acquisition costs, inventory performance, and service line profitability.
- Identify opportunities to improve margins while maintaining high-quality patient care.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning activities.
- Utilize data and analytics to drive informed operational and business decisions.
Compliance & Accreditation
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations, accreditation requirements, and organizational policies.
- Lead efforts related to regulatory inspections, accreditation surveys, audits, and corrective action plans.
- Maintain pharmacy licensing, registrations, and accreditation standards.
- Monitor industry and regulatory changes and implement operational updates as needed.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing pharmacy team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Support employee engagement, succession planning, and professional development initiatives.
- Build strong partnerships with providers, nursing leadership, operational teams, and external stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a clinically grounded pharmacy leader who combines strong operational expertise with business acumen, process improvement capabilities, and a passion for building high-performing teams.
Qualifications
- PharmD required.
- Current pharmacist license in good standing.
- Minimum of 5 years of pharmacist experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive leadership experience within infusion pharmacy, specialty pharmacy, ambulatory pharmacy, or related healthcare operations.
- Strong knowledge of infusion therapies, reimbursement models, medication access programs, and specialty pharmacy operations.
- Experience managing regulatory compliance, accreditation requirements, and quality initiatives.
- Demonstrated success leading operational improvement and process optimization initiatives.
- Strong financial and analytical skills with experience utilizing operational and financial metrics to drive performance.
- Experience implementing systems, automation initiatives, or workflow improvements preferred.
- Oncology infusion experience strongly preferred.
