Job Description

Senior Director, Integration (M&A)

Location: Remote

Our client is a rapidly growing, private equity-backed field services platform built through the combination of established businesses and an aggressive acquisition strategy. Operating in a highly fragmented market, the company provides essential services through a network of field-based operations serving customers across the United States.

Since its formation, the organization has grown significantly through a combination of organic growth and strategic acquisitions, and it has no plans to slow down. With additional acquisitions in the pipeline and a clear multi-year growth strategy, the company is looking for a Senior Director of Integration to make sure every deal turns into a smooth, well-run addition to the platform rather than a scramble.

The Opportunity

This role owns integration from close through stabilization. Corporate development runs the deal itself, diligence, and getting to close. Once a deal closes, this role takes over: bringing the acquired business into the company's financial systems, ERP, and reporting environment, and making sure the operational pieces come together on schedule. You'll work closely with the leader of M&A integration, along with Finance, Accounting, IT, and Operations, on every deal.

This is a build-and-run role more than a maintain role. The company already has a payroll integration specialist in place, so the rest of the integration muscle, process, and playbook is what you're building and leading. There's a clear path to grow into the leadership seat over the function as the acquisition pace continues.

What You'll Do

  • Lead end-to-end integration of newly acquired companies, from Day 1 readiness planning through operational stabilization.
  • Build and continuously improve the integration playbook so each deal gets faster and cleaner than the last.
  • Align chart of accounts, accounting policies, and reporting structures across acquired businesses.
  • Own financial data migration, validation, and reporting accuracy through each integration.
  • Lead onboarding of acquired companies onto the company's ERP and financial systems, including data mapping, migration, and testing.
  • Coordinate billing processes, revenue recognition, and month-end close integration for newly acquired businesses.
  • Partner with corporate development during diligence so integration readiness is built in before close, not bolted on after.
  • Identify and resolve risks, financial, systems, or operational, that could slow an integration down or impact performance.
  • Maintain integration dashboards and reporting that give leadership clear visibility into progress and milestones.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with Finance, Accounting, IT, and Operations to keep every integration on schedule.

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate combines financial and transaction rigor with a builder's mindset, someone equally comfortable in the details of an ERP migration and in a room with executive leadership.

Qualifications include:

  • 5 to 10+ years of experience in consulting, transaction advisory, M&A integration, corporate development, or ERP and financial systems implementation.
  • A real blend of investment banking or consulting experience is ideal, someone who can move fluidly between financial rigor and hands-on execution.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, accounting operations, and ERP systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional integration or transformation initiatives across multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple integrations and deadlines at once.
  • Ability to influence and drive alignment across Finance, IT, Operations, and Corporate Development.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks and develop practical solutions.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in private equity-backed or acquisitive organizations is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in field services or another multi-site service business is a plus.

Financial background is a plus but not required.

Why This Opportunity?

This is a chance to join a high-growth platform company during one of the most active phases of its growth, and to build the integration function largely from the ground up rather than inherit someone else's playbook.

You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Lead integrations that directly shape how the company scales.
  • Work closely with corporate development, executive leadership, and the private equity sponsor on every deal.
  • Build the playbooks, systems, and processes the company will rely on for years of continued acquisitions.
  • Grow into a broader leadership role over the integration function as the platform continues to expand.
