Senior Associate, Strategic Initiatives / Transformation

Chicagoland-Based | Private Equity-Backed Healthcare Platform


This position is with one of the largest multi-specialty physician groups in the country. Based in Chicagoland, the organization is also one of the fastest-growing healthcare networks in the U.S. and is backed by a leading private equity sponsor. The platform continues to invest heavily in enterprise strategy, operational excellence, and value-based care as it builds scalable infrastructure and drives long-term value creation.


The Senior Associate, Strategic Initiatives will play a key role in executing enterprise-wide transformation initiatives across a complex, high-growth healthcare organization. Reporting to the Manager of Transformation, this individual will partner with leaders across operations, clinical functions, finance, and analytics to turn strategy into action, manage high-impact projects, and deliver measurable operational and financial results.

Responsibilities

Strategic Initiative Execution

  • Support the design and execution of high-impact strategic initiatives aligned with enterprise growth and value creation priorities.
  • Translate strategic objectives into actionable operational plans that improve quality, patient outcomes, efficiency, and cost structure.
  • Drive workstreams from planning through implementation while ensuring measurable operational impact.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Change Management

  • Partner with clinical, operational, and corporate leaders to successfully execute transformation initiatives.
  • Help drive adoption of new processes, operating models, and workflows across the organization.
  • Build credibility with stakeholders while fostering a culture of accountability, adaptability, and continuous improvement.

Project & Program Management

  • Manage multiple concurrent strategic initiatives across the transformation portfolio.
  • Develop project plans, milestones, governance materials, and executive updates.
  • Identify execution risks early and proactively partner with stakeholders to keep initiatives on track.

Data-Driven Decision Making

  • Leverage analytics to evaluate initiative performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with analytics teams to define KPIs, measure outcomes, and communicate results to leadership.
  • Use data to support recommendations and prioritize future transformation efforts.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA, MHA, MPH, or other advanced degree preferred.
  • Approximately 2-5 years of experience in management consulting, healthcare strategy, transformation, operations, or a related field.
  • Healthcare consulting experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects in complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
  • Experience in value-based care, physician practice management, population health, or multi-site healthcare organizations is a plus.
