Job Description

Vice President of Strategic Initiatives

About the Company

We’re partnered with a leading field services organization serving commercial customers across a growing multi-state footprint. Backed by top-tier private equity, the company is in a rapid growth phase, driven by an active acquisition strategy and a commitment to building best-in-class operations across its brands.

The organization is scaling quickly and investing heavily in operational excellence, technology enablement, and strategic growth initiatives across the business.

The Opportunity

This is a high-impact role for a transformation leader, whether coming from consulting or an operating seat, who wants to own the agenda rather than advise on it

As Vice President of Strategic Initiatives, you will partner closely with executive leadership to shape the company’s strategic plan and drive its execution. You’ll lead the transformation office and guide the integration of acquired brands into a unified regional operating structure. You’ll work directly with senior leaders and field operators to solve complex operational challenges, improve performance, and help scale the business during a period of significant growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the Strategic Plan: Partner with executive leadership to develop the company’s strategic plan, translate it into clear priorities, and keep the organization accountable to it
  • Lead the Transformation Office: Build and run the governance, cadence, and tracking that move enterprise initiatives from idea to measurable value creation impact
  • Integrate Brands & Build the Regional Operating Model: Lead the integration of acquired brands and the rollout of a regional operating structure across all functions, including operations, sales, finance, HR, and technology
  • Support Post-Acquisition Integration Efforts: Help onboard newly acquired businesses by assessing operations, identifying gaps, and implementing structured operating plans
  • Build Operational Infrastructure: Develop reporting, processes, and management rhythms, including KPI tracking, that improve visibility, accountability, and execution
  • Bridge Strategy & Execution: Work closely with field leaders and front-line teams to translate strategy into practical, actionable improvements
  • Support Leadership Decision-Making: Provide analytical rigor, financial insight, and structured problem-solving to inform high-impact business decisions

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in a top-tier consulting firm (Bain, BCG, McKinsey, etc.), private equity operations group, or similarly rigorous analytical environment.
  • A track record leading a transformation office, PMO, or portfolio of enterprise-wide initiatives
  • Experience integrating acquisitions or designing operating models across multiple brands, regions, or business units
  • Exposure to front-line workforce challenges, particularly recruiting and retaining skilled trades talent, is a strong plus
  • Strong problem-solving ability with a bias toward action, execution, and ownership
  • Ability to operate in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and bring structure to complexity
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence a wide range of stakeholders, from the executive team and private equity sponsors to branch and field leaders
  • Comfort working in field-based, operational environments alongside front-line teams and leadership
  • MBA preferred

Why This Role

  • Direct exposure to senior leadership and private equity ownership
  • Ownership of the strategic plan and the transformation office that drives it
  • Opportunity to shape how a multi-brand organization operates as one company
  • High-visibility role with broad exposure across multiple functions and regions
  • Fast-paced, acquisition-driven environment with significant runway for growth
