Vice President, Transformation and IPO Readiness
VP of Transformation and IPO Readiness
Dallas area
A global, private equity backed professional services firm is preparing to become a public company, and it needs a hands-on leader to run the program that gets it there. That means new ERP, HR, and financial data models, a new billing and revenue recognition platform, and a major Salesforce redesign, all built to stand up to SOX, audit, and public company reporting.
The strategy and executive sponsorship are in place. What’s needed now is someone who has done this before and can run it at the detail level: keep the plan honest, hold implementation partners accountable, and keep strong-willed senior leaders moving in the same direction.
What you’ll do
- Lead the integrated IPO readiness program across ERP, HCM, billing, CRM, data, and integrations, owning the roadmap, dependencies, and critical path
- Turn public company readiness requirements into clear owners, dates, and decisions, connecting system delivery to SOX, close, revenue recognition, and audit
- Run the CRAID log and the program cadence, escalating risks and stalled decisions early
- Manage implementation partners on scope, SOWs, change orders, and delivery through testing and go-live
- Run working sessions with executives and broader cross-functional teams, and give leadership concise updates on progress, risk, and the decisions they need to make
- Own and grow adoption of the team’s internal program management framework across the business
- Direct a cross-functional transformation team, with direct reports added over time
What you bring
- Hands-on experience leading IPO or public company readiness work at a pre-IPO or recently public company. You don’t need to have run the roadshow; you need to have navigated the pieces that make it possible.
- A track record of leading large ERP implementations through go-live alongside a systems integrator, ideally on finance and HR platforms
- Deep fluency in program execution, including integrated plans, CRAID logs, stage gates, and CRP, SIT, and UAT
- Comfort getting into the details and bringing answers, not just questions
- The ability to lead and influence senior stakeholders who don’t report to you
Nice to have
- Background in professional services, financial services, or another services business
- Experience with Workday, a modern billing platform, or a large Salesforce redesign
- Big 4 or transformation advisory experience combined with an in-house leadership role
